They phoned my number twice to speak to my husband - first a lady and the next day a man called. I told them this is MY number and they insisted on speaking to my husband. I said he works away and cannot take calls and they insisted I give them his number, which I refused to do - if it was my husband's bank they would call him directly on his own cell number and now use my number...not so??? They then said they are representing all our major banks and need his FICA information. I said I have power of attorney to handle all my husband's matters and they should speak to me, which the guys was very abrupt about. If I didn't give my husband's details they will freeze his banking account in the next hour. So I asked them what bank account and which bank? The guy said all his banking accounts, I told him we did our FICA stuff at our bank 2 months ago. He then got rude and said "well you won't be able to use your husband's banking account because I am going to freeze it!" I told him he must not patronize or threaten me and told him go ahead and freeze the accounts, which annoyed him even more and I said to him that I have their details and am busy tracing them and he started getting very abrupt with me. Eventually with my nice manners I very politely told him to F-Off and he hung up. These people obviously get our details from cell phone contracts as the contract is in my husband's name, but I pay for it.

Got a call from a person that is clearly retarded or have parents that are related. Wants to invest R5000 but is not even sure how it will be invested. This is how the uneducated and retarded try to do business. Warn friends and family to block this number.

Person called on behalf of the 4 biggest banks in SA to obtain FICA information. This number is also listed as FedEx courier service. Maybe someone inside is abusing their system. Lady got angry and put the phone down

Lady phoned me about mislaid FICA documents - threatened to block my bank account and told me she would just buy a !@#$%^&*&*( car on my name and slammed the phone down

Exactly the same call with the same request and when I wanted to know more information because I do not give out my husband's cell number, I was threatened that his bank account will be frozen and the phone call was ended before I could say anything else. VERY RUDE!! A woman called Melissa. I hope she calls again, this time I will be ready with what I read in the comments.

They keep phoning on the office number asking to speak to my husband (knows his name and surname), the lady said that they represent four banking groups. I advised that he is out seeing clients, the lady insisted that I supply her with his direct number, when I told her that I cannot give out his personal number, she said that it is a matter of urgency as they need to update his Fica info, if they cannot speak to him personally in the next hour his account will be frozen, she also mentioned that she has been sending him emails and he has not responded, I asked her who he banks with and she said she cannot disclose the info, this really sounds like a scam to me!

Afrikaans lady was overly friendly looking for someone that I suspect was a previous owner of the number. wanted to have names and said there was a claim against the number, and asked for owners details. I started asking her what it is about etc and she slammed the phone down without further words. Would also advise blocking as this could influence more people.
