Get the calls both on landline and cell phone, very disruptive and annoying. would like to know who it is, and if a company they should be reported to Law Enforcement. My wife got a call from this number on her cell phone and was told that someone is attempting to drawing R16,000 from her bank account and requested her identity to confirm she was the owner of the account. she said she would phone the bank and they put down the phone.

They called me after I have applied for phone with Telkom, I was approved and the guy asked for my banking details and also confirmed an OTP that was Friday the 08th July but when I call telkom today 11 July just to double check they said they do not see anything on my profile, but a declined application.

He said he was from Telkom. Asked if I know someone and mentioned a random name. I said no. He then said okay sorry for the misunderstanding. He said "thank you for answering this call from Telkom", which is somethinf Telkom has never said before. Its odd and it seemed like he's a scammer that has put a little story together and really wants you to believe its Telkom calling. I said bye and hung up.

I received a call from 012 944 6800 after I had requested a callback on the Telkom website. A consultant by the name Kolan called me and out of curiosity I wanted to make a follow-up with Telkom and they can't pick up my order. The worst part I've given this guy my banking details becuase I trusted him since I requested the callback from a trusted website which is Telkom.

I requested another callback and spoke to a lady by the name Sheriz and she said their company name is Startek. I asked her to ask the guy to call me back and indeed he did and told me that I should check in with Telkom after 48hours.
