I have also experienced the same thing i applied online for a contract with request for an agent to call me back went through the sales agreement sent me an opt number one week laterno response I called telkom they have nothing on their system these people have my personal details and account number any advise

9th oct, a lady claiming she is from telkom offered me a new sale, but i wanted an upgrade on my mobile. She got all my details but 1 wk later, i phone telkom to follow up on the upgrade but not on their system. I just pray she hasnt used my details to scam me. So far my account has no unathorised debits.

Same problem here. Went through all of the details to upgrade. Even sent me a Telkom one time PIN number (which I've had Telkom do this instore as well) to confirm. 2 Weeks later and no phone or upgrade to my account. Telkomn says it is not on their system. They tell me to phone Sell Direct and Mondo but both have no record. Irritating unproductive waste of time....

Called many times and hang up when you dont give your ID#. (Scam call) reported by


They call many times. Most of the time its a silent call. When they do speak up, they request your ID and personal details. If you dont give it to them they hang up. If you give them (even a fake ID#) they hang up. Its a total scam that can frustrate you even on a good day. Wish the person on the other side can present themself in front of me and try that. This is why I can openly classify this company and those who make these type of calls as "Cowards". I hope all the operators "Cowards" from call centres get to read this message. You have pathetic jobs and I can guarantee you that your personal lives are as miserable as your jobs. You will never get the opportunity or satisfaction of a caller thanking you or giving you their blessings. You are in an unfortunate predicament where you get cursed all day. Rethink your career PLEASE! Put some ethics in your job and your life will improve for the better.

I answered this call and the lady on the other end requested to speak to my first name and surname, so I must have been on some database or something. But then when I answered her, the phone died and they did not call back.

They act as Telkom service provider, I apply a phone using and I gave all my details, until today I am still waiting for my cellphone. when you call back the phone just ring without being answered. This number is a scam.

oh no guys this is bad. telkom sent me an sms to upgrade with a link, and i asked for a call back and this nice girl called. gave her all my details. the phone cut and she called me back. on the 16th Nov, till now am waiting for my phone. am just scared for my account omg.
