A lady spoke to me and said that she was calling from "Direct Service Provider" on behalf of the big 4 banks wanting to make an appointment to come and discuss my R5000 share portfolio that I have been awwarded. I wanted her to email me a summary of what it entails but she did not want to. I then gave her the chance to explain to me in shortwhat it entails, as she could not , or did not want to explain what this was about. She became rude, and I in turn as well - trying to get her to tell me what this was about. She started telling me it was regarding a business account which I applied for, which was approved that morning I then hung up, after which she called me back, was extremely rude and threatened me with legal action and closing my accounts at all banks within 24 hours. I phoned my bank, and as I thought, not a bank thing. Apparently a scam to get hold of your credit card detail

Spinning a very long yarn on how companies such as SANLAM are making a huge profit off my back, and that I signed for this when I took out my policy. I should become a shareholder of SANLAM, and make enough money to earn a 2nd or even 3rd salary cheque every month. They present free training courses in online trading and I just have to sign up for a no-obligation session. NO THANK YOU. NOT INTERESTED.

Same thing with me. First was R5000 shares, and when I hung up, she phoned back immediately with the FICA regulation scam and that my business bank account (that I do not have) will be closed.

When I answered the woman spoke in Afrikaans and introduced herself as Sonia. I responded in English but she again asked how I was in Afrikaans. So since I am job hunting I thought it was a recruiter testing my Afrikaans ability so I then replied in Afrikaans and she immediately hung up on me. I have no idea who she is or what type of company she is from.

They have phoned me about 9 times in the past two days. When I answered today an Afrikaans lady told me to come in for an interview. After she gave me a few rude comments I dediced to google the number and got only negative ratings. I have an interview but I guess I'm not going to show up but I'm definitely blocking this number and moving before they come for me.

The a h mentioned, extremely quickly so that I couldn't pick up on it, where he was calling from. However on asking whether or not I wanted to speak in Afrikaans or English and I replied (in Afrikaans) that I wanted to speak 'Engels' he said we don't speak English and slammed the phone down - total idiot!!

I have been receiving numerous calls from this number asking to speak to my husband, because my husband took out this phone contract for me. My cellphone service provider were the only people that knew that this number was connected to my husband. It's quite a co-incidence that the month after our two year contract came to a end and I went on to a pay as you go that I started to get these phone calls. It is now bordering on harassment and I have asked them to stop phoning but to no avail. When asked where they got this number from I was told "he doesn't know, he got it from his boss". They have no phone ettiquette, swear at you and slam the phone down in your ear! But a few days later they will phone again, just don't answer.

Had exactly the same thing. They phoned my daughter and then me looking for my husband as he needs to submit his FICA documents to them. Our cellphone contracts are registered at Vodacom in my husband's name. Therefore that is the only place where they could get this information from, otherwise, they would not have phoned my daughter, whose number is listed as the main number, first and then me. I asked them why they do not have his cell number and email address and they couldn't answer me. They then threatened to block the bank account, but could also not tell me which bank we bank at. I called the bank and they said that they do not outsource FICA verification. This sounds to me like they wanted to steal my husband's identity. They have some information, but not enough to actually go ahead with the scam.

I was called by a Telemarketer at 13:45 today (8/9/2015) to offer me a stock exchange investment. I repeated told the consultant that I'm not interested and politely hang up after saying good buy. I was busy on my land line at and got another call from the same number 0876541003 which I didnt answer. a voice message came through and I listened to it after I finished my call. The consultant voice note to me was : Ja j*u fo**en bang g*t, nou antwoord jy nie eers jou foon nie. How unprofessional is this. I would like to know who this company is and lay a formal complaint against the consultant.

Same thing happened 2 me. When i said i am not interested they said "kry n fo**en beter verskoning." Phoned me again today and when i asked where they got my number i got transferred to a supervisor who then told me a few things and then he hung up.
