I called the number back and it belongs to Hotel Express International - clearly an UNSOLICITED SALES CALL. Saved it in my phone as SPAM, so when it rings, I will just reject the call.

I don't know who this is, they let the phone ring for a few seconds and then hang up. The call is never answered when I call back. They have been calling for about 6 weeks now.

Caller claiming to be calling from Standard bank trying to sell me insurance.

I received an SMS before the call telling me that Standard Back is going to call me shortly about their new offers. Then later today this number called me and I didnt pick.

Just to inform everyone. FNB uses 087 numbers and the other banks use 086 based number now. They have done away with the normal prefixes to take advantage of VoIP. They do not use any other prefix. If it has a different prefix and want to sell you something as the bank, know that it is a scammers.

Wanted to sell me overdraft protection.

This number phoned me every day.I got so annoyed so i picked up. They wanted to force R500 000 death cover on me. I disagreed and the phone was dropped by the person phoning. Strange. They said when i agree telphonically they will send me my documents via post. Very fishy. i dont do agreements over the phone.....
