Outsurance person who stated that my policy number has been pre-selected for R400 discount per month. Did not ask whether it is convenient for me to take the call. Then told me to put my phone on speaker phone and read my contacts to her and when I told her I will not give my contacts she stated that they follow strict POPI rules. First of all I am at work but she wants me to put my phone on speaker. Secondly she did not have the decency to ask if it is convenient for me to take the call. Don't argue with me when I am not interested in providing you with my contacts on my phone.

Claimed to be someone from an insurance, appeared as spam caller (Scam call) reported by A A Rana
This number called me, appeared as a spam caller on my phone as per true caller identification. I picked up because I got similar calls last week which I never received, so this time I just picked up to ask them to take me off their list if they were selling something. The guy other side who couldn't speak english properly claimed to be an insurer and said that I owe them some money which I didn't have any idea about.

If someone calls you at 08h00 and you don't answer, then it is obvious that you're either indisposed or driving. This caller called back 6 times.

****!!! DONT ANSWER them! They will NOT take no for an answer. Isnt there a LAW against such things? Even when you say you "will look at their quote", they will NOT send you their "terms and conditions" and want to FORCE you to activate a policy with them stating that "they record all their calls" but then are UNwilling to send you their recordings. Do they think we are THIS stupid to TRUST them into NOT sending us "terms and conditions" and when you want to claim their "voice recordings" simply "got lost"? No thank you, I had a runin like this with Standard Bank before. Whenever something is to THEIR detriment, then the recording misteriously "got lost"
