The caller said she wanted to speak to and mentioned my fathers name, so I told that is not me but my father. So they ask me to tell him that he should call them urgently because they are from nedbank and he has an investment with them that has matured. When I told my father this, he said that call is a scam because he does not have any policy with nedbank and said these people have even tried my brother, but the only person they can't get hold of is him.

They said they were Nedbank - but it seems this is fake(NEUTRAL FINANCIAL SERVICES). Wanted to verify my credential. I questioned the Durban number and she insisted it was Nedbank. I asked what type of call and I was told they wanted to offer a debit order - what service was undisclosed and when I said absolutely not she politely terminated.

They lady asked me about why i have not been using my Nedbank credit card. She then asked me if i knew how to view my balances and see my statements on my app, i advised her i do not know how she advised if i logged in she would show me how, so i asked her to call me back later, she tried and i did not answer again.

She said she she was calling from Nedbank offering a loan, then later started asking for my personal information. I asked if i have applied then why can't she do credit checks/personal checks instead of taking my word she said it's their procedure. i hang up when she said there is an initiation fee that I have to pay upfront R1200.
