Call Centre Scam (Call centre) reported by Brain Game

Was called from this number and offered a Telkom Mobile contract. I've contacted Telkom after a week of waiting for my "phone" to arrive and they have told me that their system shows that I have not been upgraded at all! Beware of this number as I'm afraid that I may have be a victim of identity fraud after giving away my details. Stupid me for believing them, but I actually expected a call from Telkom because my contract is up for renewal and so I didn't keep my guard up when I got this call. Please beware of this number as well as a few variations such as 031 813 8700 etc as these call centres use multiple numbers but the first 6 numbers will be the same - 031 813

A 031 number is a Durban number. I have no family or friends living there so I don't know how this person got my number. I don't usually answer or call back unknown numbers so I just let it ring. This person has called me 3 times already.

This number called me several times but never left a message, there are just missed calls on my mobile phone. I am not used to call back the unknown numbers. I tried to look the number up on the internet but there is no information. Does anybody know who the number belongs to?
