The guy, Daniel said they were working with MTN doing upgrades and had all of the info that is on my profile. I took the upgrade and said my phone will be delivered within 7 days

I have to retract what I said previously. This is an agent for MTC, they use the number to call out, but cannot receive calls on the number. I thought it was a scam, but not. He did my upgrade, my phone was just delivered to me. They are CCI, an agent of MTN, and I am grateful that they went all the way with upgrading my contract. Thank you Dhiren.

Pretended to be from MTN regarding my upgrade being due early even though I knew the courier company was already on there way with my phone. It also sounded like they called from outside standing in the wind. Very suspicious

If you refuse they get rude and angry The best thing to do would be to waste their time as much as possible by asking dumb questions as this would make them not want to call you again

BE CAREFUL SCAMMERS! Claimed to be MTN. Said that I was due for an upgrade. When I told them only next year in April, they said that that was when the contract ended. So I said yes which means according to MTNs T&Cs you can only upgrade 3 months before, and if they were from MTN they should know this. Thats when they got rude and said that if I didn'twant the upgrade why the did I not say so from the start then slammed the phone down. Definitely scam call to get personal details then port your number to them.

Number calls about 10 times in a day and keeps silent. (Scam call) reported by Jaco
Has been identified as an MTN SCAM CALL. Has very dodgy people calling. They don’t seem normal, must be high on drugs. When you answer they keep quiet, when you don’t answer they talk. They sound very dodgy, uneducated, and extremely unprofessional.
