I phoned back from a landline and the lady said she is from Edcon. I asked where she is and she said in Durban. She wanted my ID to confirm my Jet payment. I said no, my statement does show my payment and I am not going to give her any details.

They called me saying they were debt collectors for Nedbank, but I have never dealt with Nebank - EVER. Demanded personal information, which I refused to provide, and they proceeded to make a lot of threats regarding legal action etc.

Called me demanding my personal info and refused to give them. Was told they collect for Multichoice. Never had an account with Multichoice. Had prepaid service though. Once your Airtime is exhausted they cut off the service. Now they are telling me I owe them. Doesn't make sense to me. I actually dumped Multichoice for being incompetent and went for their Rival. If you are on prepaid, how do you end up owing the service provider?

Would recommend declining the call as they just say "an account of yours has been sent to us and we can't disclose which account before you verify your date of birth and ID number" I ended the call after telling the woman that I will not give out my personal information and she kept insisting. You can also hear multiple people in the background asking the same from other calls. Very unprofessional and seems like a scam to me. If they can not tell me what I want to know but the can insist on me giving my personal details
