After answering, I could not hear any response - it was silent. I stayed on the line for a further 10 to 20 seconds, and could finally hear someone in the background. They responded with surprise when I greeted again. It turned out to be Discovery Digital Support phoning me back about a query I had submitted. The agent said that the line had remained silent on her side, and thought it was going to go through to my voicemail.... when suddenly she heard my voice. So, it could just have been a bad "connection" issue between phone networks.
